#23: Elon in Paris?

Last week was fashion week in Paris, and award-winning entrepreneur/music producer, Pharrell Williams, presented his first proposal for the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2024 Men’s Collection, as the new Men’s Creative Director. Celebrities from around the world were in attendance for the fashion extravaganza. We, too, were in Paris recently, but for a VERY different reason! (Research?) 🛴 🚲 🛵

Just down the aisle from LVMH (the largest luxury goods company in the world), The SMART Tire Company were exhibitors at the 2023 Viva Technology conference, where Elon Musk was a keynote speaker (which was very cool). We also spent some time exploring the streets of Paris on e-bikes, observing the micro-mobility infrastructure throughout the city and the ride-sharing experience. There is definitely high demand for our award-winning METL airless tires, to safely navigate those old cobblestone surfaces, as well as the urban city traffic…not only in Paris, but all of Europe!!

We also got the opportunity to speak with a member of the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 Team, who was in Paris to showcase the F1 car of 7-time world champion driver, Lewis Hamilton. We took a few photos with the $15M Mercedes-Petronas car and asked a lot of questions, as we are also working on an F1 SMA tire prototype that could be a major benefit in the future of F1 racing. Formula 1 is a multi-billion dollar global sport that is rapidly growing in the USA!
