#17: CES 2023 STC Recap
STC was a breakout hit at #CES2023 as first-time exhibitors and 2x CES Innovation Award Honorees. Situated within the prestigious West Hall, the METL bicycle tire was also prominently on display at the CES Innovation Awards Showcase at the Venetian! Our small but mighty booth held its own on the showroom floor alongside giants like Caterpillar Inc., Mercedes-Benz USA, Bridgestone Americas, Amazon, John Deere, Toyota Motor Corporation, Peugeot, Stellantis (Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Maserati), Hyundai Motor Group, Togg, Zoox, Microsoft, INDYCAR and many other well-known, innovative companies.
How did we get a spot amongst all of these corporate giants? Well, it took a lot of perseverance, curiosity, spirit and LUCK! Our unique booth featured a lunar rover, a 15 foot tall SLS rocket, a hanging digital sphere with rotating planets, an astronaut, several of our airless tires, a 7 foot digital wall display with translucent OLED screens, and a table full of hands-on shape memory alloys for demonstration by our newest PhD employee, and many more cool and STC-branded promo items. All within a modest startup budget (and a lot of money saving sweat from our team- our lead engineer drove 34 hours just to deliver a truckload of our tires!!!). We were interviewed and/or covered by CNBC, BBC News, Digital Trends Media Group, EV Pulse, The Weather Channel, TikTok and many other media companies. So proud of our SMART Team. Digital Trends covered our company at CES and posted the video, which is blowing up big as their most watched video of all time on TikTok! Let that one sink in for a moment.
